Pontius Clavus is a unique piece, tailored in saffron green and red ancient rich fine linen. It is decorated and layered in geometric three-inch wide stripes of gold sequin at both arms and body. “Pontius Clavus” is modeled in similar fashion as the Roman senator’s laticlavus, distinctive in form and color from regular citizenry. It is styled in a more practical t-shirt form as against the traditional tunics producing an enormous appeal to the western imagination. The Pontius Clavus collection relates to the roman influence in the arrest and condemnation of the Nazarene as narrated in John 18:12, 28-38 of the KJV.
